Christy Knighton, Registrar

Shanna Siporin
Hi, I'm Christy! I was born and raised in Cache Valley, spent a couple of years in Oklahoma with my family but now we're back. I have a husband I adore and four kiddos, three girls and one little boy. I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in FCHD.

I love working with young kids and taught preschool at Bear River Head Start before making my way to CCID. I have loved being part of the CCID crew and feel lucky to be here!

Shanna Siporin, Office Manager

Shanna Siporin
Originally from the Northwest, I moved to Cache Valley in 2007. While I miss the coast and coffee experience (haha!), I consider Northern Utah my home. I absolutely love the outdoors, especially snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer. I'm an avid gardener (tomatoes and garlic especially), gamer, and love reading. I have two children, both of whom attend CCID and I wouldn't have it any other way! I graduated from Washington State University with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology.

I have many years of office experience, including working as an Undergraduate Admissions Officer at Utah State University. I've started my own small online business as well, yet I've always been drawn to continue to work with teachers, parents and children within the education sector.

I so enjoy working with the entire population at CCID and look forward to many more fun-filled years ahead!

Jamie Douglass, Registered School Nurse

Jamie Douglass
My name is Jamie Douglass. I grew up in Cache Valley and have lived here my whole life except for a summer in Jackson Hole and a few months in New Jersey.  I was raised on a dairy farm where I learned to work hard and appreciate the value of a dollar.  I grew up surrounded by many amazing cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents and love to spend time with family more than anything. I've been a nurse for over 10 years but have worked in healthcare for 25. I have a variety of experiences in different healthcare settings from doctor's offices, pediatrics, the Urgent Care, home health and hospice and psychiatric nursing.

I have a huge soft spot in my heart for the elderly and children and will always strongly advocate for both. When I'm not spending time with my husband and four children or at work I have a passion for family history and genealogy work.

Something interesting about me is that I have an identical twin sister. We switched classes in the 3rd grade and someone tattled on us, I left crying and she left laughing and we never dared try to pull a fast one on anyone again.

I have really enjoyed working with the staff and children at CCID and feel lucky to have been hired to work here.
