Melia grew up in South Jordan, Utah. She moved away to attend college at USU. As she was finishing up her Bachelor’s degree, she met her sweetheart Bryce. Together they have three amazing children. Once Moving to Cache Valley,she has never left.  

Melia has taught students from pre-school to college. She loves seeing the sense of wonder and discovery as students learn something new.  She finds it epspecially rewarding to see the moment a concept clicks for a student - that spark is what keeps her coming back to the classroom.  STEM Education and working at CCID are tow of Melia's Passions.

Melia is an Aggie at heart- as evidenced by her office decor. Outside of work, Melia loves being with her familu as they explore the outdoors on horseback, four-wheelers or just hiking. She loves traveling, especially going on cruises. Melia's lastest obsession is her grandchildren. She loves making memories with them.
