Ms. Britney

School-Based Mental Health Specialist

Hi, I’m Ms. Britney!  I'm the School Mental Health Specialist here at CCID and alumni of Utah State University (#foreveranaggie).  While I may not be a Cache Valley native, I (mostly) enjoy the beautiful commute. The postcard-worthy mountains and the gorgeous views, It's almost worth the traffic and construction. I’m convinced Cache Valley is Utah’s best-kept secret. I believe in good vibes, hard work, all the dogs, and never underestimating the power of a full TBR list.

At CCID I’m here for the big feelings and the little ones; offering interventions that are more than just a chat (though we can do that too!). We can work together to navigate stress, regulate emotions, pursue a growth mindset, and all the wild stuff in between. Need help in a pinch? I’m also your go-to for support in a crisis. I’m all about helping students discover skills to add to their mental health toolboxes that actually fit them (because one-size-fits-all is for ponchos, not a helping hand.)

When I’m not meeting with students, I’m busy mentoring our current Utah State University interns, leading the mental health team, joining up with the school safety team, and looking for ways to make CCID better and better.

Unfortunately, I’m not a mind reader (though that would really come in handy), so don’t be shy, keep me in the loop!
