College and Career Awareness (CCA) Overview 

College and Career Awareness is a required course for Utah 7th graders, designed to introduce students to career exploration and preparation. Through hands-on projects, simulations, and work-based learning, students explore high-demand careers, identify their interests and strengths, and develop essential workplace skills. The course helps students understand career pathways, guides them in setting educational and career goals, and fosters 21st-century skills like teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and ethical decision-making. Students also gain insight into the Utah labor market and learn how to plan for postsecondary education and training opportunities.
