Christy Knighton, Office Manager

Hi, I'm Christy! I was born and raised in Cache Valley, spent a couple of years in Oklahoma with my family but now we're back. I have a husband I adore and four kiddos, three girls and one little boy. I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in FCHD.

I love working with young kids and taught preschool at Bear River Head Start before making my way to CCID. I have loved being part of the CCID crew and feel lucky to be here!

Ms. Jane, Registrar
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, where I spent most of my life before making a spontaneous decision in 2017 that changed everything—I moved to Mexico. For two incredible years, my husband and I built our own home, embraced a new culture, and eventually started our family.

My career has always been rooted in education, and I’ve had the privilege of working in various roles, from being a lunch lady to an administrative assistant in Adult Education, working in Title One schools, and now thriving in my role at CCID. Each experience has deepened my passion for supporting students and fostering a positive learning environment.

Beyond my work, I have a deep love for making homemade chocolate treats and spending time in the outdoors. Whether it’s fishing, camping, or watersports, my family and I love exploring the natural beauty of Cache Valley.

More than anything, I am grateful to be part of the CCID community. The students and staff inspire me every day, and I am honored to contribute to such a dynamic and supportive environment.

Nurse Jamie, Registered School Nurse

Jamie Douglass
Jamie grew up in Cache Valley and has lived here her whole life. She has been a nurse for over 14 years and has worked in healthcare for almost 30. She has a variety of experiences in different healthcare settings from doctor's offices, pediatrics, the Urgent Care, home health and hospice and psychiatric nursing.

She has a huge soft spot in her heart for the elderly and children and will always strongly advocate for both. When she is not spending time with her family she likes to read and do genealogy work.

She has really enjoyed working with the staff and children at CCID and feels lucky to have been hired to work here.
