Rachel Hall, Testing Coordinator

1

I have spent most of my life living in Cache Valley. I was born in Northern Idaho and lived just outside Glacier National Park in Montana when I was young. I still miss the trees and bald eagles, not so much the bitterly cold winters.

I have been working in elementary schools for the past 15 years. I have been at CCID since the very first year. I have worked as the Aide in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. I am thoroughly enjoying my new role working with kids from multiple grades.

I am curious and creative and love to craft, especially using odds and ends or leftovers and upcycling them. I enjoy reading aloud to kids.  I love stickers and enjoy sharing them. I also have started to collect quotes. I find great joy in sharing positive, encouraging or funny words with people, especially when they need it. I live by these two mantras "See a need, Fill a need" and "Do your little bit of good where you are. It's those little bits of good put together that change the world."

I find great fulfillment working with children, helping them to learn and grow. It is so exciting when they make connections and their world expands.

Mr. Kent, Safety Specialist

Kent PrewettI grew up in Davis County, Utah spending most of my time outside. I started working in Special Education classrooms shortly after graduating from high school. I work with all grades and all students and love helping them be successful at school.

My passions are fishing, listening to music, being outside, talking in ridiculous accents to my dogs, and cheering for the Washington Commanders.

I love being part of the CCID crew and causing mischief!

AnnMarie Spendlove, Orchestra Teacher & Support Staff

AnnMarie SpendloveI was born and raised in Smithfield and stayed here to raise my own family. At a young age I discovered my love for music. I loved practicing so much my parents had to tell me to stop and go outside and play. In the sixth grade I picked up violin and fell in love with that instrument as well. I started teaching violin and piano lessons when I was 17 and realized how fun it was to teach others the joy of music.

At Utah State University I continued my study of music and earned my degree in Music Education. Since then I've taught private lessons and small orchestra classes. Bringing music into the lives of my students, and helping them to learn how to create and express themselves through music is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. I'm excited to be able to work with the future musician s at CCID!

My husband and I are parents to four wonderful children. We live on a small "farm" with two goats, three chickens, four cats, and more grasshoppers than anyone could ever count (we'd like to find a new home for those, if you're interested). Our family enjoys playing board games, watching sci-fi TV shows, reading Brandon Sanderson books and exploring national parks. My other hobbies include distance running, hiking, pyrography (wood burning), and gluten free baking.

Tamra Neilson, Occupational Therapy Support

Tamra Neilson

I was raised in North Carolina and appreciate every opportunity I have to get back to the green and the trees. I enjoy  traveling, baking, hiking, and  spending time with family & friends. I also like reading, organizing, cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes & Duke Blue Devils  and exploring new places. I am happiest when walking on a beach with my husband or supporting my two awesome children in their lives.

I’ve always really liked the quote, “Every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.” I’m grateful for the opportunity to help provide that at CCID.

Lee Whitlock, Support Staff

. Lee was born and raised in northern Wyoming. Almost his whole life he spent in Ten Sleep, a tiny town nestled at the base of the Big Horn Basin. Growing up he spent his summers in the Big Horn mountains at the family cabin.

In 2018 he graduated from high school and started in Utah State University in the fall of that same year. After two semesters he took a break from school to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in southern Utah.

He is now back at Utah State University. His hobbies include listening to music, country swing dancing, ceramics, and almost anything outdoors. In his family he is the fourth of five children.

I was born and raised in Cache Valley. I spent a couple years exploring in Alaska after I graduated high school. I love being able to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. I'm not a fan of the cold or the snow, but I love being outdoors. I also love animals and tattoos.

I am so excited for this school year and can't wait for all the new adventures!
